1st of all the best to Duncan and the club owes you for your time / efforts over the years.
As for the 5-a-side, I think from listening to a lot of teams involved their was too long in between matches.
Maybe having more pitches, or making the games shorter would speed up the time standing around.
With it being on Fathers Dad we might have lost a lot of walk through custom, as players aren't going to drink much at the bar or eat many burgers whilst playing (or the majority anyway).
Maybe a Car Boot would attract people to mill around and just charge them a fee, and leave them to it to save on organising.
I am not suggesting a whole Fete, because in all honesty the committee will struggle to cope with the demands.

Dear all
Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to all of you who took part in the 5 a side last Sunday, commiserate with you for not winning (what happened!!??) and a special thanks to those of you who helped in the setting up, running of the event and packing up - you know who you are and it hasn't been forgotten by the committee.
Secondly, having let the dust settle, we would like to have your feedback on the event and what you thought went well, not so well and what we could try and do to improve things when (if) we run it again next year. We, as a committee, are a little disappointed in the final total raised considering how much work was involved in organising and running the event, and feel that whilst we got some things right there were some things we could improve.
Please place (sensible) comments on the guestbook and we will listen and action where appropriate next time around.
Enjoy your couple of weeks break and I look forward to seeing you ALL at pre-season training on the 8th July - sign on at the first session and get your own personalised new training top!

Cheers Speedy, yes I will enjoy the rest.
After over 20 years with the club I just want to be able to decide where I am going on Saturday not have it decided for me - and I HATE making tea!!!!!
You will still see me about, haing beeninvolved for this long the only red in my blood isfrom up north not Mill Lane.
Enjoy it everyone, you have come through the dark period, its now time to start enjoying the good times again.

First off just wanted to say a big thanks to all those involved in the running and organization of the 5-a-side. Thought it was a good day shame it was on Fathers day as I got a bit ofstick 'from her indoors'!! Obviously some slight improvements could be made but on the whole a good effort I hope we look to run one next year??
Second just wanted to thank Duncan for his efforts on the committee not being a member myself but being on the Keys one, I do appreciate what you have to go through. Hope you enjoy the rest hopefully you will continue to support the green and black!!
